my rc car is not starting need help please?

i just bought a hyper 7
it has a mac 28 6p motor in it.
it is not pull start it has the electric drill kind of thing.
now im not a expert with these everytime i try and start it it makes a winding noise rather than the grunt from the exaust trying to start
every couple of secends it will make a small grunt from the exaust then it will just make the winding noise.

i am using the glo plug and yes there is petrol running through the pipes

any help would be much appreciated

first check to see the motors flywheel moves when spinning.if not the one way bearing on the back of the motor is not grabbing.'fuel left in car'.losen the glow plug and spin over use the ignitor to tighten plug while you spin over.'might be flooded'.find local hobbie shop most are willing to help.

hello, just wondering i have 20% nitro fuel do i have to mix it with petrol if so to what mixture and if not do i just put it in straight?

No! Do not mix the fuel with anything. It should already be mixed with ethanol and all those little goodies. Just pour it straight in.

Remember: Nitro Fuel is really Dangerous. Be Careful.

HELP HELP HELP Why does my Ansmann Virus (nitro car) cut out when i brake?

I have just been out on my petrol car and i have recently fixed it because the plastic diff had been eaten away by the metal diff i have had all new parts put on to it and it runs so nice im well and truly addicted to it but when i brake my car stops and cuts out i want to get more out of it and start taking it racing near my local rc car track but i need to no how to fix this please HELP. thanks

yeah beckys right you want to check the gap doent close right up when u brake. looking down tru carb(air filter off)make sure when brake is on the gap is 1mm

Could you tell me which RC would be better for me, the Shengqi Hummer or the HPI Savage Flux?

Could you tell me which RC would be better for me, the Shengqi Hummer or the HPI Savage Flux?
The Hummer would be my first Petrol RC and i want something that can go round corners well and is very tough and durable as i will bash it hard.
I don't really want to do any big upgrades to the car, i just want to get a lot of performance from it as stock.
I have a few HPI cars and know that they are very strong, durable and have a lot of performance.
However, i haven't heard of Shengqi at all and the Hummer at £370 seems a bargain, but i don't want something that will constantly break.

In my opinoin I would stick with HPI. I have never heard of Shengqi and would stay away from them. If you are looking for a new brand try Traxxas.

I would suggest you try visiting ModelMania.com. It has a very wide range.

I also would have suggested Airfix.com but you wanted 1/5th scale and Airfix don't go that big. Otherwise Airfix/Modelmania would have been the perfect site.

But from the choices above I would suggest www.rc-hobbies.co.uk as they are the most reliable website to buy from.

What would be the best petrol RC off-road car for me to get?

I have had an electric car for a few years now, and i am well used to controlling it using the standard trigger and wheel. Now i want to get a petrol off-road RC car instead. I am looking at spending £100 to £130, plus extra expenses for the likes of fuel and glow starters. Any suggestions would be appreciated :). Thanx.

You won't get anything new for £130 that you want. (The nitrotek stuff is cheap because it is poorly made.)
Save another bit of money and try grab an hpi bullet. Which is a great truck. Failing that, local independant hobby stores will stock second hand good brands. For instance, i got a thunder tiger tomahawk second hand, £80. No problems with it thus far.
All 'petrol' (you mean nitro here, petrol is entirely different. They are 23-26 CC engines that power the 1/5ths, about a grand to buy one.) take alot of looking after. You have to know enough about what your doing to keep it running well. The upside is there is loads of info on the web, and even step by step movies on you tube.

A couple of good trucks to check out; (though im sure others will disagree)

Thunder tiger tomahawk (£160 new, not bad at all)
Hyper 7.
Hpi bullet/firestorm
