Whys my petrol rc car high reving on its own?

Whenever i fire the car up it revs very high on it own, how do i stop? this because i do not want to let it go when its doing this

There should be an idle speed adjustment screw on the carburetor which will allow you to close down the throttle plate a bit. This will slow down the engines idle speed.
